MEET C WING'S GUIDES

My name is Luselena Perez and I am a senior this year. I chose to be a wing guide because of the amazing wing guides I had my sophomore year. They really made the wing a home for me and helped my transition into life at IMSA that much easier. I also had RC's telling me they felt I would be a great wing guide and perfect for the job so I decided to apply and was chosen as one of C-wings wing guides for the year. My goal for the wing is to make us a family! I want all the girls to feel comfortable with each other and have a great time making lasting memories. I hope to accomplish this by having events and activities that will bring us all closer. I am very interested in biology and hope to be a pediatrician one day. I am heavily involved on campus. I am the president of Alma Latina, the Hispanic culture club on campus and the president of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos club that focused on bringing awareness to the NPH organization that serves orphaned children in Latin America by giving them a home to grow and be nurtured in through the help of volunteers. I am involved in various other clubs on campus but these are two that I hold close to my heart. Hope the girls and I have a fantastic year!

My name is Samantha Arrez and I am a senior in 1502. This year I chose to be a wing guide because I have admired the hard work and dedication that previous wing guides have put into creating a close knit community within their wings. I wanted to be able to do the same for the incoming sophomores as well as my wing as a whole to make this the most fun and comfortable living environment. I also felt that I had numerous ideas for bonding activities and ways for the wing to connect with the IMSA community, therefore, I became a wing guide in attempt to execute those experiences for our girls. One goal that I have for the wing is that we actively participate in every event so we build close relationships not only with each other, but others outside of the wing as well. Another goal is that the relationships created are held outside of the hall and that the girls are comfortable enough going to us, each other, and the RC with anything that they may possibly need. It has always been my dream to become a Neurosurgeon and this summer, I got the opportunity to shadow multiple Neurosurgeons at Northwestern which was an amazing experience. My educational focus both at IMSA and beyond includes biology, neurology, and pre-med. One interesting fact about me is that I did Taekwondo for about 2.5 years and I am now a 1st Degree Blackbelt. My favorite foods include mango and sushi. During my time at IMSA, I have been to Peru, China, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. My last fact is that I am rooming with and co-wing guide to my best friend, Luselena Perez.
