Dear IMSA Parents and Families,

Thank you for making move in a great success for 1502! I greatly appreciate everyone’s patience during halls renovations. I personally am excited to see the final results of the hall and campus once all renovations are completed. As they say, all good things take time!

As I mentioned during our parent meeting last week, your child’s safety and health is my number one priority as a residential counselor. In order to meet that priority, I find it imperative to approach health from a holistic perspective. This means focus on necessary academic skills, healthy social skills, emotional regulation, and physical health. Our bodies are impressive, timely machines, and when one part is not functioning properly, then other parts of our complex system will seem out of sync. While academics is the number one reason why your child is here, I think students have a wonderful opportunity to learn important life skills which is why I strive to approach holistic living for the entire wing through programming. Wing programs are designed to meet IMSA’s Standards of Significant Learning, the American School Counseling Association, McRel Compendium Standards for Life Skills and Behavior Studies just to name a few. You can view these standards listed under Residential Life Curriculum to your right. I look forward to working with the girls, and I am confident everyone will build a strong, sisterly bond this year.

Please don’t forget if you have questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions, to contact me via email, phone, or stop by the R.C. office. You can also find direct links to courses, IMSA's academic calendar, and other important resources to the right of the page. I look forward working with you to help make your daughter’s time at IMSA a positive one.

Best,

Kavita Adatia
